About the Campbell County Sheriff’s
Office
The Campbell County Sheriff’s
Office is divided into three divisions: The Administrative Division provides the following services: Personnel Recruiting
and Hiring, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Payroll, Juvenile Diversion and DARE Program; The Records Division provides the following
services: Civil Process Service, Warrants Service, Records Release (including accident reports, incident reports and records
checks), Concealed Firearm Permits and Sex Offender Registration; The Operations Division provides the following services:
Investigations, Patrol, K-9 units, Animal Control, Wright Deputies and Communications. This division also provides the Crime
Stoppers program for Campbell County.
The Patrol Division has 24 deputy sheriffs
assigned to field duties and give investigators working on criminal cases. The
Patrol Division also has three K9 units, animal control officers, communications personnel and a posse. The Sheriff’s Posse currently has 17 volunteer members. The posse serves a dual role, as they also
make up the Campbell County Search & Rescue team.
