According to the
Cumberland County Prosecutors Office , “The Prosecutors office is the chief law enforcement agency in the county. All
the functions, powers and duties of the attorney general relating or pertaining to the enforcement and prosecution of the
criminal business of the state and any county of the state shall be exercised through the county prosecutor. N.J.S.A. 52:17b-109
the Cumberland county prosecutor's office is under the overall supervision of the Prosecutor who shall be appointed by the
governor of the state of New Jersey. The prosecutor shall administer the work of the prosecutor's office under the direction
and supervision of the Attorney General.”
