Captain James
Stalnaker of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department has over 39 years of experience in law enforcement. Prior
to becoming a law enforcement offical, he spent six years in the military. During
James Stalnaker’s law enforcement career he has had assignments in corrections, patrol, detectives, internal affairs
and SWAT. His law enforcement leadership experience includes working as a sergeant
in patrol, the training coordinator for his SWAT team, the executive officer of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s
Department’s Training Division; commanding officer of the Narcotics/SWAT detail and as an Patrol Station Commander.
