According to the book description of Escape From The Pharma Cartel: My Life as a Member of the Pharmaceutical Drug Cartel, “She Had Made the Company Millions Yet They Cut Her Loose "I went to school and have my college degree. I married and had children. I had a successful career for 18 years-top sales with award winning trips for seven of those years. I have saved for my retirement. I have savings accounts for my children to go to college. I pay my taxes and volunteer my time to many worthy causes like the Epilepsy foundation and the Alzheimer's Association. Yes, I own two nice cars, a big screen TV, and expensive suits and am an incorrigible shopaholic, but I'm not rich by any stretch of the imagination. I'd been blessed with a comfortable middle class life until one split second took it all away."

Kimberly Cheryl was living the American Dream until she was seriously injured in a car accident. Unexpectedly fired by the company she long served, she found herself without a job, without insurance, and without any means of paying off her obligations. She quickly moved from a position of observer and participant of the health care industry to being adversely affected by the same system.

In Escape from the Pharma Drug Cartel, Cheryl reveals how our health care system is broken, unjust, and inhumane. "Every other industrialized nation manages to provide almost all its citizens with guaranteed health insurance, while spending less on health care than we do," Cheryl writes. How is it possible that the United States-a leader in health care development and drug discovery-is not able to provide its citizens with medical care when countries like Australia and China do? In Escape from the Pharma Drug Cartel, Kimberly Cheryl takes the reader on a shocking, revealing, and provocative tour of the pharmaceutical industry of America as only an insider can.”

One reader of Escape From The Pharma Cartel: My Life as a Member of the Pharmaceutical Drug Cartel said, “I'm not quite sure what I expected when I first picked up this book. I was just interested in maybe entering the Pharma Industry. The story changed my interests and changed my opinions on the Pharmaceutical Industry as a whole. It was a wonderful quick, easy read and very enjoyable. I usually have two or three books going at the same time because I become distracted and don't have the time to finish anything. Not true for this story - finished in two nights and had my eyes opened to many new things to ponder on my next doctor's visit! Passed it along to my mom and sister to read as well.”

The Midwest Book Review said of Shattered Reality, “One of the most terrifying fears of a parent is for harm to come to their child. "Shattered Reality" is an inspirational guide for parents of sexually abused children who want to help their children heal from the trauma of these incidents and in doing so, help themselves heal. Encouraging parents not to blame themselves, "Shattered Reality" is a solid pick for those who are struggling to cope with these horrible tragedies.”

About the Missouri Department of Corrections

According to the Division of Probation and Parole, “The board is comprised of seven full-time members appointed by the governor, subject to the advice and consent of the Senate. During their six-year terms, members determine the release of individuals from confinement in the Division of Adult Institutions through parole or conditional release. Parole hearings are held at each correctional center monthly. If a release date is set the board determines whether placement in release strategies such as electronic monitoring, residential facilities and community release centers is appropriate. The board stipulates special conditions in order to address specific offender needs and improve the opportunity for success under supervision. They also monitor the supervision of offenders in the community and return those offenders to prison who are a risk to the community.

The chair of the board is the chief administrative officer in charge of operations, funds, expenditures, Interstate Compact Services for supervision of parolees and probationers and is chief spokesperson for the board. The Chief State Supervisor is responsible for field services, community corrections and administrative services. The Operations Manager supervises parole services for the Board. Both the Chief State Supervisor and the Operations Manager report directly to the chair of the Board of Probation and Parole.

The board also investigates and reports to the governor on all applications for pardons, commutations of sentence, reprieves or restorations of citizenship. The board may include information relating to the applicant along with appropriate recommendations.”

According to the book description of Shattered Reality, “A wonderful read for all parents, teachers, counselors .... we need to open our eyes to child sexual assault and help put a stop to this silent epidemic. The sexual abuse of a child creates a devastating family crisis. Parents want to know what to do and say to help their child but they also want to know how to respond to and heal their own emotional turmoil. As a parent, you need to know it's okay and natural to act with disbelief and denial. This is my story, a mother's story, about the abuse of my daughter and my struggles to over come. I thought I could trust my family members. I thought I knew and could trust the legal system. I was wrong. As a parent, I couldn't find help for ME...what to expect on this journey with my daughter and her recovery. I didn't know how much pain I would suffer as well. This is my story and my struggle toward recovery. Some how, some way, I hope it gives you hope for your journey as well.”
