Matthew Bobby

Officer Matthew Bobby started his career with the Westland Police Department at the age of 15, serving as a police explorer.  In 1992, shortly after graduating John Glenn High School, Officer Bobby was hired by the City of Inkster as an Auxiliary Firefighter.  In 1993, at the age of 20, Officer Bobby reached his goal to become a police officer for the City of Westland Police Department.  Officer Bobby's career has led him to work many jobs in the police department including, road patrol, motorcycle officer, youth detective, school resource officer, SWAT Team Hostage/Crisis Negotiator and crime suppression officer. 

Officer Bobby retired from the Westland Police Department in May of 2013 at the age of 40.  Shortly after retirement Officer Bobby began working for the Schoolcraft College Police Authority as a campus police officer, and as an emergency medical technician (EMT) for Rapid Response EMS.  In December of 2013 Officer Bobby was hired by the Luna Pier Police Department where he is now proudly serving as a full time police officer.

    

Officer Bobby wrote, "Jake's Trip to the Police Station", which is the first book in a series of stories related to the public safety field.  Watch for additional books in the series including those related to Firefighters, and Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
