About the Missoula Police Department

The Missoula City Police Department was formed on April 23rd,1883 when the City Council hired William Keyes and Will P. Nugent. The pay was $60.00 per month.  Today the Missoula Police Department has 95 sworn personnel and 24 civilian personnel.  The Missoula Police Department is organized into three divisions: Administrative, Detective and Patrol.
