About the Missoula Police Department

The Missoula City Police Department in Montana was formed on April 23rd,1883 when the City Council hired William Keyes and Will P. Nugent. The pay was $60.00 per month.  Today the Missoula Police Department has 95 sworn personnel and 24 civilian personnel.  The Missoula Police Department is organized into three divisions: Administrative, Detective and Patrol.
