About the Oxford Police Department
The Oxford Police Department has an authorized strength of
31 sworn officers, seven full-time and three part-time civilian employees. Sworn officers are assigned a variety of functions
and have opportunities for lateral transfer or potential promotion in a number of different areas: Patrol Officer; H.I.T.
High Intensity Target Team (Narcotics); Forensics (Crime Scene Investigator); Criminal Investigator; Juvenile Office; K-9;
Instructors; Bicycle Patrol; and, Community Resources and Training.
