About the Parker County Sheriff’s Office

According to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office, the duties of a deputy sheriff are “Responds to calls for service within the county and enforces the laws of Parker County, the State of Texas and the United States; writes reports; testifies in court when required; operates emergency vehicles; communicate with citizens and other officials in a professional manner.”  The Parker County Sheriff’s Office refers to the State of Texas duties of a sheriff which state, “Long respected as the county's top lawman, the sheriff has a range of duties that include criminal investigations, traffic enforcement, operation of the jail and other responsibilities. Duties of the sheriff include: Providing security for the operation of county and district courts; Enforcing traffic laws, other county ordinances and other state laws; Service of process; Accepting bail for prisoners in his custody; and, Conducting sales of seized and unclaimed properties.”
