Christy asked me to give the father’s blessing.
My blessing for you Christy and for you Sean is
FBI – no not the Federal Bureau of
Investigation, but the motto behind it –
Fidelity, Bravery, Integrity. My blessing is
that you have fidelity, that you are faithful
to the principles with which you were raised,
to your ethics and morals, to your family and
friends, to each other, and to yourself. My
blessing is that you are brave, that you have
the courage to confront the trials and
tribulations that life will offer, and not only
to confront them, but to overcome them. My
blessing is that you have integrity, that you
are honest with everyone that you meet, with
your family and friends, with each other, and
with yourself. That is my blessing for both of
you.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Ivan W. Nicholson was
raised in North Carolina. After obtaining a
MA in American History in 1971, he joined
the FBI as a Special Agent. He served in
three major cities and three small Resident
Agencies the last of which was in Northern
MN where I retired in 1999. Since that
time, he worked part time for fourteen years
as a Contract Investigator for several
companies doing background investigations
for several federal agencies, most notable
Customs and Border Protection. He retired
from that work in 2014, and is now fully
retired.
