In a world dark and evil,
God has sent us guardian angels
To keep us safe and secure,
Our Knights in blue.
Not thanked and often misunderstood,
Our guardian angels keep the watch,
Over the thin blue line,
Our Knights in blue.
But from this heart,
There springs forth every morn
A thank you, with a special prayer;
God, keep our Knights in blue.
When the burden becomes too heavy to bear,
The God that sent you will stand near.
Be strong in the knowledge that
He has never left your side, and never will.
I might not have seen all you’ve seen,
I might not have heard all you’ve heard,
I’ve certainly not endured all you’ve had
to,
And yet I often shed a tear for my Knights
in blue.
My prayer for you is;
May the God of peace, love and compassion
Watch over you and keep you strong.
Give you the wisdom, courage and endurance
you need.
So, to my Knights in blue,
Who will always be my heroes,
God bless you.
