Timothy Bowen is a 25 year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department.  He is the author of You got photos? You got prints? You aint got S.H.I.T. Some Heavy Intellectual Testimony.

Timothy Bowen said of the book, "The title of the book comes from a partner of mine in days gone by. He arrested a burglar, and, as he was transporting him to the station, this criminal said, "You got photos? You got prints? You ain't got shit." At a time when we need proof for everything, I thought the quote was quite fitting. It summarizes our system of justice, such as it is. It also typifies us as a nation, in that none of us seem to accept responsibility for our actions anymore."

On reader of  You got photos? You got prints? You aint got S.H.I.T. Some Heavy Intellectual Testimony said, ".Having never worked in law enforcement, I was skeptical when a friend loaned me this book. What an unexpected treat to find my attention arrested and handcuffed by retired LAPD Officer Bowen from the Introduction on. By page 16, the tears had started to run and I was howling out loud, from police hilarity. I recommend this book to anyone who has managed to love their job in spite of difficult customers, unsupportive managers, and eternal confusion over what The Big Picture is or why anyone in their right mind would try to fit into it."
